Bold Leadership: Courage. Inspiration. Action.

NAMTC Leadership Summit

by NAMTC Board of Directors
The NAMTC Leadership Summit was recently held at the beautiful Broadmoor Hotel at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. This year's theme was Bold Leadership and our presenters, corporate partners, and participants certainly modeled Bold Leadership. Our opening keynote by Dr. Brian Talbott reflected upon the past challenges, and lessons learned as well as a preview of forthcoming security and safety technologies. Angela Burke (MA) talked about the new ISTE standards and the role ESAs can play in providing professional development for their school districts in adopting these standards. And last but certainly not least Nithi Thomas talked about The Learning Accelerator (TLA) and the available resources for Personalized Learning and Professional Development. Nithi and TLA will be following up and presenting at our January 15th Shared Conversation. A big thank you to Sand Creek HS at District 49 who provided us a tour of the Project Lead the Way at their high school. Several students remained after school and presented their innovations and prototypes that they designed. These students were amazing and we hope to feature them in an upcoming Shared Conversation as well. And finally none of this would be possible without the support of our Corporate Partners. A big thank you to PBS Learning, Eduporium, LinkIt!, Nearpod, Mindshine Technologies, and a welcome to Demco, PLS3rd Learning, and ClassLink!
